Jules Giordano’s Family Tree

While a website is not necessarily the best place to outline a family tree, my goal here is to detail my family connections as best as possible in the most accessible way. Each person included in the trees below has additional information connected to their name that can be accessed with the pull-down buttons.

This tree is a work in progress that will continue to be updated as I grow my research on my Sicilian Orleanian family. All branches spur out from my wonderful grandparents, Benny and Rose Giordano.

I would like to thank everyone that helped make the build out of this family tree possible, especially Benny and Rose Giordano, Jack and Connie Varuso, Richard Marshall, and all the unknown people on ancestry.com.

Please note, this page is best viewed on a laptop or desktop and is not optimized for mobile viewing. Thank you for your understanding.

Giordano Family tree

The Giordano family immigrated to New Orleans from Chiusa Sclafani, Sicily in the late 1890’s. Benedetto made the initial voyage in 1895 with his parents, Antonino Giordano and Maria Zito. Antonino did not like the way of life in the new world and returned the family to Sicily. Benedetto and Maria returned to New Orleans to start their new lives in America.

Benedetto’s wife, Josephine Leaiono, came to New Orleans from Sicily in 1897.
